Me made February – Black& White
This month I am taking part in a brand-new, fabulous blog initiative: Me made February.
Me Made February was invented by Catherine from Cat-und-Kascha and the idea is to wear self-made things (clothes, accessories, handbags etc.) and post photos of them on your blog.
What takes the pressure of this challenge is that you can define how often you post (once a week, several times per week, once a month), whether you show ‘old’ or ‘new’ pieces, whether you focus on fashion or/ and accessories, whether doublets are allowed or not... it is all up to you.
Sounds easy – true. But since my motto is
Aim for the moon, even if you miss you will land among the stars
my Me-Made-February will be a real ‘tough’ challenge. And I chose it ;-) Anyway my aim is to:
a) wear one piece of self-made fashion or accessories every day in February (doublets allowed!)
b)make at least one new fashion item (clothing or accessories) for me every week in February
plus post a photo of each item obviously.
So, voila, here is what I wore today:
Black&white, Tartan&dots and the star of my outfit today – my self-made bib necklace
I made it in the last days of my pregnancy – nothing left to prepare, nothing else to do and way too much time to just wait for the little one
I used left-over felt, cut out circles in different sizes (I used all different cups I had at home as pattern) and a ‘bib-shaped’ base. I then stitched the circles onto the base, embroidered them with different beads in black, white and transparent and added a black and white ribbon as ‘chain’. Voila, that’s it. Pretty easy, but pretty stunning too ;-)
That’s it from me today. I am going to have a look at your ‘me made things’ now. I am so curious. And to all of you who don’t take part in this great creative challenge, have a look at all the other amazing participants - just click here.
Since this creative challenge will surely soak up all my creative juices as well as take up all of my time and blogging space, there won’t be any of the usual blogging topics in February. But be assured I will be back with fabulous Fernweh, Wedding Wednesdays, Oh Baby it’s Monday ... posts in March.

Lieben!!! I am so happy about your comments - ich freue mich sehr ueber eure Kommentare. in English - oder Deutsch! And no worries, I wore plenty of woolen jackets as well - keine Sorge habe das Outfit noch mit mehreren Lagen winterfest gemacht.
Coole Kette - und der Rest passt einfach toll dazu!
Und was die Kälte angeht, funktioniert Euer Aufzug immer noch nicht, dass Du so ein definitives "Drinnen" styling tragen kannst ;-))?
