A treat for mum - again!

Every Monday I will post something related to babies: inspiration, craft projects, baby news, and discoveries I have made in this new and exciting world for me. I hope you come along on that rollercoaster ride with me.

Although Mother’s Day is over, I still think that mums need a bit of pampering. And this is a fabulous treat that I got as a birthday present from my best friends:

A professional foot bath at Fußbadcafe. With soft music, a cup of tea, a beautiful interior, flowers in the water, hot stones, a scrub, a massage and a wonderfully smoothening cream on top. You can also get nail polish in every colour you can think of. Half an hour of bliss! It really makes you feel relaxed, special and very, very beautiful! Ideally you can enjoy this treatment all by yourself, but if your little one throws a tantrum and doesn’t want to stay with the babysitter (like mine did ;-() you can also enjoy it with a little one on your lap.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mums out there!

I think you are doing an amazing job. Every day! And every night! Especially at night and in the wee hours of the morning. And in times when your little one is sick or grumpy or tired or hungry. Since becoming a mum myself I know how hard this ‘job’ sometimes can be. (Thanks, mum. Thank you so very, very much for always being there for me!) Although you love it. And despite all the love you get back. (Thanks again, mum, for never ever making it look like a chore to us!) Therefore let yourself get absolutely spoilt today!!!

And I am a really lucky girl aehm mum, because my lovely husband is already cooking up a storm in the kitchen, then we are off to the country for a relaxed day at a lake and on the way home we might stop at my favourite black-and-white photo booth at Zossener Str. Bliss!

My Product Innovation of the Summer

Quite a strong statement giving that the summer in Germany hasn’t even started, yet. When I saw this Barbecue Chocolate at my local supermarket, however, I was sold. This is definitely my highlight of this year’s barbecue season. Melting chocolate in an aluminium bowl directly on the barbecue – brilliant! I think you have to be German or Australian to understand the appeal of this unique offer. No one else is as obsessed about barbecues and outdoor kitchens, I guess ;-)

A Casual Christening – Invitation

I love parties! I love to go to parties! I love to throw them! I think there are many things to celebrate, not only birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas and Easter. Therefore I now dedicated my Friday posts to parties: to creative party invitations, to easy-to-make party food, to party decorations that make all the difference... I hope you feel inspired by the festive atmosphere on Fridays and celebrate many small and big events.

My next party is going to be the christening of our little one in June. We want it to be a relaxed celebration with our families and closest friends. Nevertheless we still want it to be something special, because it is a special day in our lives.

Beauty is where you find it – SIGNS OF LOVE

A great photography project which I just discovered yesterday. They are already in week 3, but I thought better join late than never. Luzia Pimpinella initiated the 4-week-long project ‘Beauty is where you find it’. It is about finding beauty in the ordinary, where you might expect it the least. Isn’t that a great idea? I think it is absolutely fabulous.

The topic for today is SIGNS OF LOVE and here is my sign of love:

I found this sign of love written on an ordinary house wall on an ordinary street in Berlin-Mitte. Yes, the surrounding was so ordinary that you can even see the Berlin-obligatory dog pooh on the left ;-(

Now I cannot wait to see what signs of love you have found.

Therefore go for it. Whatever it is. Whatever it costs. Do it. Make it happen.

Don’t worry about traditions. About other people. About anybody else but you and your love. It is your day. And the heart wants what the heart wants. There is nothing you can do about it ;-)

The wonderful thing is that you can also upload your own design and then everyone can buy it and you get a share of the money. Maybe that is just the start of your international design career?
