YourDress

Most of my November posts are dedicated to special, unique, customised, personalised, custom-made presents. Hopefully there is some inspiration for your Christmas shopping or crafting, so that we can all enjoy the last days before Christmas with the wrapped pressies hidden in our cupboards and wardrobes. And since it is Wedding Wednesday as well, this pressie is something particularly for all brides-to-be as well.

for brides-to-be, mothers-of-the-bride, bridesmaids and all other wedding guests, but also best-friends, sisters, mums, favourite grannies, everyone in search of the perfect little black dress, an amazing Christmas-party-dress

how Choose your fabric, your dress elements (collar, top, middle, bottom, belts, bows, etc.), your lengths, your style, your size... and get it made within a week or two.

I tried Styleshake when I couldn’t find a dress for my wedding at the registry. The ordered dress was amazing – the silk was soft, the size perfect (without any fitting), the workmanship impeccable, the price unbelievable (EUR 90 for a silk dress!), it arrived after just 2 weeks (from the UK to Australia!) and it was truly MY dress. Designed by me. Oh, and you can also design your very own skirts, tops and accessories. So what are you waiting for!

... I am so grateful that it cannot keep Andi and me apart anymore.

... I am so happy that my beloved Berlin isn’t a divided city anymore.

... I only live 50 meters from where it stood.

... I love to divide my time between the former East and the former West Berlin.

... I am glad that our daughter will only know it from history class and stories.

Customised Christmas

After a real shock two weeks ago I started to do some research. Online, in my little black idea book and out on the streets. For special, unique, customised, personalised or custom-made presents. Because I want to show my loved ones that they deserve something ‘out-of-the-ordinary’, something specially made, something one-of-a-kind or something dedicated to them. Presents which represent their style. Their taste. Their personality.

I stumbled across so many great ideas that I don’t want to keep them all to myself. Christmas is the time of giving after all. So I will share my favourite customised present ideas with you, dearest readers, throughout November. I hope my posts will be a joyful and helpful source of inspiration for you. Maybe they can make your pre-Christmas time (‘Advent’) a bit more relaxed and peaceful and you excited about the presents you give (and not stressed).

My present ideas will include: Things to make and things to buy. Big and small things. Things for kids and things for granny. Simple and sophisticated things. Things to eat and things to keep. Useful and silly things. Things from far and things from near. Light and heavy things. Things for everyone and for special people. Real and virtual things...

Tomorrow I start with something for sweet mornings. Because not everyone is a morning person ;-)

Enjoy the giving!
